About
Kokuyōka has been obsessed with both stories and literary analysis, regardless of their medium or origin, ever since she learned to read. For over a decade, Kokuyōka has been involved in the Final Fantasy community in general, and Final Fantasy VII in particular, as a literary analyst. In that time, she has managed to collect, translate or create a variety of lore documents, game scripts, and diagrams. She is happy to finally make them available to the community at large.
Some of Kokuyōka’s favorite works of literature are…
Journey to the West (1590s), The works of William Shakespeare (1590s-1610s), Paradise Lost (1667), The Riddle-Master Trilogy (1976-1979), 47 Ronin: Ako Roshi (1979), Naruto (1999-2017), Morrowind (2002), Final Fantasy XIV (2010-Present), NieR (2010 & 2017), Transistor (2014), Arcane: Season 1 (2021)

Many Thanks
TheTwilightMexican: Here’s to all the years of fandom nerdom together! Thanks for all the Japanese translation help and shop talk.
Who’d have thunk when you translated FF8 back in the early 2000s, you’d be helping someone do the same thing eight FF games later?
And curse you for that genius “These are our terms” pun observation. I am never seeing that line the same way again.
GrooveOrganic: Here’s to all the years of lore discussions and literary analysis together! Thanks for all the encouragement in striking out on my own and getting my own translation site up and running.
Turns out you dragging me into the FFXV fandom paid off. Poking at FFXV’s translation was great practice for figuring out what was up FFXVI’s translation!
