Background and Status Overview

Like Angeal, he is a 1st Class SOLDIER in the SOLDIER Division of the Shinra Company. He and Angeal were childhood friends and he was raised as the son of the landowner of Banora. He admired Sephiroth, who was his own age and had been active as a SOLDIER since childhood and [Genesis] aspired to become a SOLDIER himself. After becoming a 1st Class SOLDIER like he had desired, he also became friends with Sephiroth, who he admired.

Genesis’ birth, like Angeal’s, involved Shinra’s biological experiments. Genesis’ effects manifested in his body earlier than Angeal’s, and the phenomenon known as “degradation” made it impossible for him to escape death. In order to stop it, he has no choice but to lend his power to Hollander and Lazard’s plan.

Appearance and Internal Traits

His trademark is his handsome face and long deep red coat. Despite his elegant looks and graceful presence, he hides a fiery temper inside his heart. This is especially apparent in battle, where he can act indiscriminately once his emotions get the better of him. On the other hand, he also has a sensitive heart and rarely interacts actively with other people. Although he may lead subordinates on missions, he fundamentally hates group activities. However, it seems important [to him] to spend time with his close friends, Angeal and Sephiroth. In addition, he has a passion for literature and is known as a researcher of the ancient epic poem “Loveless”.

Main Relationships

In order to stop his degradation, he is forced to cooperate with Hollander, who tries to take revenge on Shinra. This turned him against most of the people associated with Shinra, including his former friends.

Zack

A younger college he is not acquainted with. He has heard rumors from Angeal that [Zack] is like a puppy. [Zack] becomes a clear opponent he goes after during the story.

Angeal

A close friend who will suffer the effects of the experiment like he does. He asks [Angeal] to cooperate with his plan, but [Angeal] refuses.

Sephiroth

A SOLDIER friend he once admired. At the same time, he also sees [Sephiroth] as an obstacle he wanted to surpass.

Cloud

He was just an ordinary soldier with no name [to Genesis], but at the end of the story, he is targeted as the owner of S Cells that can stop degradation.

The Unique Prime Body of the Tsivets

Genesis is a character that has also appeared in DC. In the story, the entity referred to as《G》is the prototype for the “Tsviets” who possess the “color” designation. The Tsviets are an elite group of “Deepground Soldiers” who are enhanced. Among them, those who possess the “color” designation possess unique abilities.

← In DC,《G》reveals himself in the basement of the collapsed Shinra Building.

→ “G Reports” suggesting the existence of〈G〉have been left behind all over the world.
