A young [electro-mag] rod wielder with the Turks. At first glance, he seems insincere: he dyes his hair red, leaves the front of his suit open, and talks to people as if he’s trying to make fun of them, but his enthusiasm for his work is second to none, and he is so determined to protect his turf that he is often harsh with outsiders. He and his partner, Rude, are a good team.

An Enemy, but not an Unlikable One

In FFVII, Reno is an enemy of Cloud and the others who are anti-Shinra, but he also fights alongside them when he’s not on duty, and his unique way of speaking makes him hard to hate. He has also appeared in the Compilation works AC, BC and LO. His hair was short in CC and BC, but as he got older, he grew it out as in FFVII and AC.

↑ Reno in FFVII gives a strong impression of taking on dirty work, such as pursuing Aerith and [destroying] the Sector 7 Slums.

A giant of a man, blunt and brawny

Profile

Reno’s partner, an eye-catching skinhead. He has extraordinary physical strength, and is known as Rude of Power, as compared to Reno of Speed. In addition to his intimidating build, he conceals his facial expressions with sunglasses and speaks very little, giving the impression that he is unapproachable to those who meet him for the first time, but in reality he is a compassionate and loyal man.

Reno’s Longtime Partner

Although he stood in the way of Cloud and his friends in FFVII, he also showed his playful side, such as pining for Tifa, his enemy, and going to a skinhead meeting. He always appears with Reno in the Compilation, and as the years go by, his ear piercings increase. Incidentally, in FFVII and AC, he has a mustache.

↑ Because Rude is a poor talker, he is not always able to explain the situation well, and Elena, a younger colleague who has just joined the Turks, has to support him in some situations.
