Background and Status Overview
A young woman who lives in the slums of Midgar, the daughter of Dr. Gast, the leader of the Jenova Project, and Ifalna, a descendant of the Ancients who once saved the Planet from a crisis. When she was a child, her father was murdered by Shinra, who was interested in the special abilities of the Ancients, and for a while, she and her mother were captured by Shinra. Later, her mother, who was trying to protect Aerith, escaped from Shinra and Aerith was left in the care of her current adoptive mother. Her mother died in the process, and Aerith became the last known descendant of the Ancients. She currently lives peacefully with her adoptive mother in a house in the Sector 5 Slums, but in reality, her activities are constantly monitored by Shinra’s Turks.
One day, while she was tending to her flowers as usual, a SOLDIER fell down from the sky.
Appearance and Internal Traits
A beautiful girl with a face so delicate that Zack thought she was an angel when he first met her. Her upbringing was not a happy one, and she still lives a life that can hardly be called free, but she does not let this affect her cheerful nature, and she is a warm-hearted person who does not like conflict. Also, perhaps because it is contrary to her own situation, she feels happiest in her ordinary routine and says that her dream is to fill the slums with flowers. After her fateful encounter with Zack, and through the events in the Slums, she falls in love for the first time like a girl of her age.
Main Relationships
The two people who are deeply involved with Aerith are Zack, the one she is in love with, and Tseng, the one who observes her. Although there are no conversations with Tseng in this game, he has been an acquaintance of Aerith’s since she was a child. It is also suggested in the story that she has also met Angeal, although no specific scene is depicted either.
Zack
The man who is strongly attracted to her after a sudden encounter. Even after he went missing, she waited for his return for several years.
Angeal
Zack had only told her stories about Angeal, but she had a chance to meet him in the middle of the story and talk to him for a while.
Tseng
Although he is her watcher, she has known him since she was a child and feels a strange kinship with him.

Aerith appears in FFVII, BC, and AC, and she played a particularly important role in FFVII. When the Planet is threatened by the “Meteor” invoked by Sephiroth, she is the one who invokes the magic “Holy” to counter it. The attempt is ultimately successful, but Aerith herself is killed during the course of the story.
