Character Overview
Angeal’s biological mother. She used to be a researcher in Shinra’s Science Department and engaged in research inconsistent with humanity, such as the Jenova Project. However, she realized her error when she used her son, Angeal, as an experiment subject, and chose to part ways with Shinra. Afterwards, she married the man who would become Angeal’s stepfather, but he died soon after Angeal became a SOLDIER. She now lives quietly in Banora, enjoying her son’s letters, but she still is not able to cast aside the guilt of her past.

Character Overview
The head of Shinra’s Science Department. He became the general manager of the Jenova Project after his predecessor, Dr. Gast disappeared. He is a confident man who claims to have the greatest intellect in the world, and he has produced research results that prove it, making him an indispensable resource for Shinra. He worships science and devotes his life to research with a strong will and intellectual curiosity, but it seems many people hate him because of his considerable lack of general morals. He is involved in various inhumane acts, such as calling human beings samples and using them in dangerous experiments without remorse.

The Researcher Involved in the Jenova Project
Dr. Gast proposed the Jenova Project. Among the outstanding researchers assembled for [the project] were Hojo, Hollander, and Gillian. Hojo, in particular, eventually became a central figure in the project, conducting inhumane research, including using his own son, Sephiroth, in his experiments. The details are discussed in FFVII and DC.
